SMEs standard-bearers of made in Italy: 800 are the champions of growth
The website Repubblica.it reports:
Despite the crisis of recent years that has touched almost every sector of the economy, there is a dynamic and innovative Italy, which through new products or services and often worldwide exports, creates jobs and distributes wealth and prosperity throughout the territory. To this Italy, the German Institute for Quality and Finance (Itqf) dedicated its latest study “Champions of Growth,” which selected 800 companies-drivers of the recovery based on average annual growth over the three-year period 2018-2021. This is the fifth edition of a survey that rewards excellence in the Italian economy. In fact, to enter the ranking, it is necessary to show an average annual growth rate of more than 11.3 percent over the three-year period under consideration.
“Our goal is to give notoriety to the Italian companies that drive the economy and contribute, thanks to their dynamism, to provide new impulses to the economy and society,” explains Christian Bieker, the director of the German Institute for Quality and Finance. “Being among the ‘magnificent 800’ and receiving recognition for one’s entrepreneurial performance is a huge source of pride, as well as visible and official proof of one’s business success. All companies in the official ranking can use the recognition awarded, the well-known seal of quality, for marketing purposes. This helps to increase interest from potential partners, customers and investors as well as to acquire new contacts and business opportunities.”

- Among the 800 companies selected by Itqf, small and medium-sized companies capable of competing internationally dominate.
- The most represented sector is industry (13.5 percent), followed by technology (12.4 percent), services (10.8 percent), and sales & marketing (8.8 percent).
