MECSPE Bologna, with its +48.000 visitors and +2000 companies (data of 2021 edition) had the highest number of exhibitors of industrial fairs in Europe in 2021 and is therefore positioned as the most important exhibition in Italy dedicated to manufacturing, especially for the themes linked to industrial innovation, fundamental for the agendas of the buyers of the supply chain, who will take part in it mainly to meet one or more exhibitors and to be updated on the technological news of the sector.
The new Kiber K3S, the wearable technology that allows augmented reality to be used on construction sites, power generation plants, and offshore sites, made its debut in Houston, Texas in early May and now will present its solutions in Bologna @MECSPE from 9th to 11th June.
Kiber K3S, created by VRMedia Srl, is based on an integrated hardware/software-assisted collaboration system (AR / XR K3 Web), which allows the operator in the field to access, hands-free, the most common video conferencing apps, such as Microsoft Teams, and share their activities with remote experts, who are able to see the intervention environment live, interact with it through augmented reality, provide indications by sharing data, measurements, images and any necessary information. In addition, the operator can access all the apps and contents of their Android smartphone directly through the powerful displays of the K3S system.
The augmented reality allows to increase safety on construction sites, reduce travel and remotely intervene in any industrial plant anywhere in the world.
Kiber K3S is intended for construction, maintenance, testing, inspection, and training activities in industrial contexts, such as power generation plants, offshore platforms, shipyards, and, in general, in areas with high risk or for needs of logistical simplification. The system allows a single operator to interact with multiple parties connected remotely, sharing technical tools and Android apps in a mixed physical-real environment, therefore without the need to have all the people involved in the intervention, travel to the operational headquarters.
Among the new features of Kiber K3S, there are a more powerful processor, the ability to tether with Android smartphones and to access and reproduce any document or application on the viewer, including access to company ERP systems, greater operational efficiency of field operators, and faster problem resolution, thanks to the ability to harness the full power of 5G networks.
During these three days, attendees will have the opportunity to see first-hand how Kiber works in the field helping with day-to-day activities. With the help of our industry experts, they will explore the AR technology that supports remote workers.
